Really loving the game and also recording a Let's Play like many others here, but can I get a hint on how to get past the beginning of the sewers?

I've been reading/ skimming the comments here but don't want too much spoiled
Here's the SPOILER part of my comment coming now:
I saw the note in the first corridor. I got the spinning room and think I determined which number represents North. I don't know where/ what to do with these numbers. I see the key in the water in the beginning of the sewers, and got the text to show up for it although it is very hard to trigger it. I don't know where/ what item I need to actually get the key, which I would guess is the entire "key" to progressing the game whatsoever! If I could get one single hint (ie don't spoil the next upcoming parts after that) I would be extremely grateful!

Hey there, glad you are enjoying the game so far! It sounds like you missed a door in the same room/area where the hatch to the spinning room is.

(+1)

There's definitely a room behind some hanging chains if I recall correctly, but that one needs a key as well....... I'll definitely check again when I'm ready for another recording session. Thank you!

Yeah no problem! Also, I have added a links section to the page now and one of them has a full guide/walkthrough if you really get stuck at any point:)

Very nice and creepy. The ps style graphics adds a lot because it gets a bit unsettling to watch for a while. I'm very intrigued to see where this story is going too.

Concluse Part 1.  We dive Into the darkness

I had my reserves about playing this game at first, but once I got my feet wet a little I was hooked. The game takes place in a world called Cordova (hell) where you play as Michael who is searching for his missing wife. The world is very dark and gritty and one of the most prevalent aspects of this game is the tension that begins building at the beginning and never really stops. Instead of relying on cheap jump scares Concluse does a very good job building tensing and a sense of dread, I was on the edge of my seat half way through the game waiting for something to jump out at me around every corner. Overall I enjoyed this game. If you would like to see my play through follow the link below.

9/10, Just play it!

Loved the design and creepy visuals and sound. Played through the entire game plus the bonus stuff and looking forward to a sequel hopefully.

Really awesome atmosphere and creepiness! Love the unsettling feel this game pulls off.

(+1)

actually the game is Amazing! Yes my commentary is kind of different but i really like the game !
(+1)

Played some of the game. From what i saw it looks quite good. The voice acting is very good and the addition of cutscenes is an unexpected bonus. Good stuff.

Hey! Do you have plans on lauching it for Linux as well? :)

We're going to try, we had issues with our linux build we are currently trying to work out :)

thanks for checking out CONCLUSE, I like your take on the story haha

(+1)

lol no problem I always get a bit weird like that 😂 it’s a nice spooky game. Keep her goin 👌

(+1)

Concluse teases you at every corner thinking this is the moment you are going to get jump scared! As the developer said it's not your run of the mill jump scare horror game but, can more be related to the psychological horror game that has those tension build up moments again and, again!

Thanks for playing, enjoyed your playthrough!

Played the game (Some what)

Hi! We played your game on our new channel and can agree that it's freaking creepy.  Excellent audio, good pace and freaky visuals with tense vibes right from the start.

My partner is the one playing in our video, and he is not a fan of horror games as you can tell.  But I think it adds to the experience of him being terrified of your creation, and we will attempt to finish it together in the next episode or two

Haha, thanks for checking it out, your partner is a trooper :P

(+1)

^_^ Anytime! We are about to play it some more so we’ll see how he manages!. And again, great job on an amazing game!

Round three! I feel like I made some real progress in this episode, mostly because of the increasing complexity of the puzzles. Two quick suggestions though, it seemed like some of the sewer buttons had false indicators as to whether they were involved with unlocking the door. Some differentiation between the two types would have curbed some frustration. Second is that atmospheric tension does need a payoff every once in a while or it starts to lose its potency. It doesn't need to be a jumpscare, but something small can go a long way to keeping that sense of dread. If the whole game builds and builds and builds but never climaxes with its scares, the player can start to realize this and just begin to disregard the tension. Still having a great time though!

Your walkthrough has been fun to watch, hope you continue to the end!

I thoroughly enjoyed this. Nothing overly complicated that took the fun out the experience. I really appreciate horror games that don't have jumpscares, though there's something truly unsettling about the spooks that are in this game. I feel like creating that kind of atmosphere and build-up requires a lot more effort and is much more effective. Kudos.

the game is amazing, it was creepy and the style was so gooood

Awesome game. It was creepy and managed to stay that way, not relying on jumpscares or enemies to achieve that. Beat the game and found the hidden Deadworld which was well worth the effort of finding. And to think that guy I called Frankie and shared my "product" with, was really called Paul the whole time. (Pretty sure that was a myst reference with the linking book too). Can't wait for the story to continue.

I really enjoyed playing this and applaud you adopting the silent hill type atmosphere.

Thanks for checking it out, you have a great channel :)

Thanks bro! I appreciate that

OOOOOH CREEPY! | Concluse | Part 1

this is so eerie!! but i love this so far!! great job on creating this creepy game! :D
(+1)

I really love the style of this game, it's strangely Erie , and the darkness makes it so much more illusive. Really cool :)

(+1)

Round two! I'm still pretty damn impressed by the ability of the atmosphere to create tension, I keep expecting a jumpscare, but nothing ever comes. The constantly building stress never has some payoff or resolution and it just gets better and better because of it! I was even a little worries that the funky VHS sections would end up being a bit of a waste of time, but that third one... shit. Really loving it so far and again, already ready for more! (I just cant take that much in one sitting)

I Made It To The sewer where i ended up getting stuck. Game is great and i really enjoy the aspect you brought to this game.
(+1)

hey great game sort of reminds me of cry of fear/silent hill type games im very impressed how good this is and have done a part one and now im hooked:D cant wait to do my second part and what more there is to see

(+1)(-1)

One ticket to spooky town pls. |ョ0ω0*)ノ゙(EP1)

I like the Silent Hill vibes! (nd' maybe the text problems was a glitch) but otherwise part 1 has been a ton of fun (^=˃ᆺ˂)

Thank you very much for sharing your playthrough! If you downloaded the game prior to the first patch the text issues have reportedly been fixed, along with some other bugs that were reported. Hope you enjoy the later parts of the game!

(+1)

So far, pretty damn solid. I feel like I haven't really gotten into the meat of the game yet, but you've already manged to sell the environment and setting. The short descriptions on most objects does a lot to fill in the detail in the world and make it feel more alive. The black and white aesthetic works pretty well, but I do worry it may become somewhat of a hindrance later on and some unobtrusive button prompts might help as well, a few time I've been halted simply for not knowing something was intractable. I am looking forward to more though! Thanks for reaching out!

Hi CoalFire, thank you very much for sharing your playthrough. The style of your video made it extremely enjoyable to watch!

(+1)

I see you are trying for a ps1/ Silent Hill Styled game ... I raise you one LP and a great creepy atmosphere. Really immersive as well though I'm not 100% sure if the pay binoculars was supposed to kill me.

Hey Levont, I watched all of your playthrough so far, glad you are enjoying it, and thanks for taking the time to record :)

(+1)

Np. I'll put up the concluse playlist that I got.

Really fun and immersive scary game!!!

Really enjoyed watching your playthrough, thank you for sharing with us!

This game was really cool and kept me on the edge of my seat initially. The music on the title screen was perfectly reminiscent of Mad World in Donnie Darko, a wonderful movie sub-genre of Horror. I believe the cut scene before the title was very engaging as well. These elements really helped to create "hype" for the game.  It was very freaky and otherworldly. I did in fact enjoy my time spent in the game despite my end. I believe this game has a lot of potential. I myself found the horror after thirty minutes to degrade, i spent time going up and down the halls searching for the answer to no avail. This game has many elements of a horror game and does a superb job at delivering. It is in the gamer's point of lessened horror the experience begins to decline. Perhaps the answer was obvious and I could not see it through the grain, nonetheless you have done a really great job with this. Thank you so much for your perspective and creation for our enjoyment!

Hello HaydenRaven,

Thank you very much for you playthrough, we are glad that you enjoyed the experience for the most part. The game while in the horror genre, has an emphasis on puzzles and figuring our how to progress, rather than jumpscares or more action oriented gameplay. If you would like a hint as to how to continue where you were at in the Hospital, I recommend going right when you exit the subway. You'll find an item that you need to progress through the hospital. If you do decide to continue the game, you will find hours of gameplay ahead of you.

Thanks again,

- T Allen Studios & Studio Snowspot

EDIT: Also, you will at times have to back track in the game. Think of the environment more like an open world as opposed to a sequence of levels that you complete and move on.
